Main characteristics

The active component of the intradermal bioimplant is calcium hydroxyapatite СаНА, which makes up 30% of the product. 70% of the filler is a carrier gel containing water, glycerin, carboxymethylcellulose.

CaHA, which is present in Facetem S, is identical to the native substance calcium hydroxyapatite, a component of bone tissue and dental enamel, so it is well absorbed by the skin tissue. When injected intradermally and subdermally, the gel fills wrinkles and hollow areas with a dense substance. Microspheres of calcium hydroxyapatite activate fibroblasts, gradually they begin to grow their own newly created collagen and elastin fibers of the patient. As time passes, the CaHA molecules biodegrade and are removed naturally, but the density and elasticity of the tissue continues to be maintained by the patient's own formed fibers. 

The diameter of the active ingredient particles in the filler is 24-45 microns. This size is the most optimal and safe. Smaller microspheres can get into the blood and lymph, larger ones can cause hypercorrection and tissue fibrosis

The injectable preparation is sufficiently plastic, easily injected and evenly distributed in the tissues, provides a predictable result and is not subject to deformation. Biodegradation occurs gradually, from the surface layers to the middle.

Facetem S has a slightly better price than similar products of European and American brands, while the quality is at the highest level. The filler is approved by KFDA and has a CE certificate confirming the product's compliance with European quality standards.

Area of application

Intradermal implants are used on various parts of the face - from the cheekbone area to the chin. Indications for injectable plastic surgery procedures are:

• marionette wrinkles and nasolabial folds;
• post acne scars, hyper- and hypotrophic scars;
• temporal hollows;
• nasal aesthetic imperfections (hump);
• insufficient soft tissue volume in the cheeks, chin and cheekbones;
• gravitational ptosis;
• facial oval deformity;
• thickening of the skin in the back of the hands;
• collagen stimulation of the skin on the face and body with atonic, flabby skin.

The preparation is suitable for women and men and is used for facial rejuvenation and correction of facial features.  Filler based on calcium hydroxyapatite in most cases is recommended to be injected after 30-35 years old.

Procedure protocol

The day before visiting the salon or aesthetic clinic, the patient should refrain from drinking alcohol, on the day of the procedure - from coffee.

The injections are performed after consulting the patient, providing information about the results of the procedure and excluding contraindications. Before injections the skin is treated with antiseptic and anesthetized with anesthetic cream or gel. The product is injected into the dermis, subdermally, using linear retrograde, bolus technique, and vector lifting. A single treatment is sufficient to obtain the desired result.
 

Result of application

The effect of contour and volumetric plastics appears immediately after the procedure: since CaHA is not hygroscopic, there is no swelling. After 4 months, when calcium hydroxyapatite is eliminated from the body, the result is maintained by the body's own collagen skeleton. The volume and lifting effect is maintained for up to 12-18 months.

Slight swelling, which is much less than swelling after hyaluronic acid injections, as well as injection marks and bruising go away in a few days. 

Immediately after the session it is undesirable to take a horizontal position. To prevent complications, until the integrity of the epidermis is restored, you should limit touching the injected areas and avoid makeup. Peeling, intense physical activity, facial massage and bathing procedures are prohibited. For 2 weeks it is undesirable to expose the injection sites to ultraviolet light.
 

Contraindications

Injections of filler are not performed during pregnancy and lactation, epilepsy, diabetes, oncology, systemic disorders and problems with blood clotting. Contraindications are also anticoagulants and thrombolytics, skin infections in the area of the planned correction.
 

Storage and transportation 

For storage and transportation it is recommended to keep to a temperature regime of +5C to +25C. Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, overheat or freeze the product.
