Lips Contour is available as a transparent gel, is a part of the Lips series of the Belotero ® brand, and can be used in combination with Lips Shape, designed for lip augmentation. The injectable biocorrector contains:

• hyaluronic acid at a concentration of 22.5 mg/ml;
• lidocaine - 3 mg/ml;
• phosphate buffer with pH 7.0.

The product is manufactured using the patented CPM (Cohesive Polydensified Matrix) technology. The five-step manufacturing process includes two additional cross-linking stages of hyaluronic acid chains, which are absent in the creation of fillers of other brands. Using a unique technology allows to get the most homogeneous monophase filler, which evenly fills the voids in the dermal tissues, creates an attractive and natural contour of the lips, while remaining in the skin for a long period of time - up to 1 year. 

A high level of gel purification from BDDE crosslinking agent breakdown products, proteins and toxins ensures full susceptibility of the product by dermal tissues as a native substance, no allergic reactions and minimum side effects after the procedure. The product is safe for health and approved by the American FDA.

Application area of Belotero Lips Contour Lidocaine ®, filler based on hyaluronic acid 0.6 ml

The hyaluronic gel is designed to work in the lip and perioral area. Injections of the filler are performed for the following tasks:

• moisturizing and rejuvenating the skin, making the lips smoother;
• smoothing wrinkles on the lips and around the mouth;
• forming a beautiful curve of the lips;
• correction of asymmetry;
• lifting drooping corners of the mouth;
• improvement of the commissure and proportions of the lips.

Contour plastics with the preparation Belotero Lips Contour ® is suitable for women and men of young and mature age. However, injections are not recommended before the age of 18.

Procedure protocol

The procedure can only be performed by a cosmetologist with a medical education, who knows the anatomy and physiology of the injected area and has been trained to work with the preparation. The filler and needles are opened in the presence of the patient. 

Before injections the skin is cleaned and treated with antiseptic. Additional anesthesia is not necessary, except for particularly sensitive clients. The gel is injected into the superficial or medial dermis. The procedure is performed only once. As the result of contour plastics with Belotero ® preparations is guaranteed and predictable, no additional correction is required.

Results of application

The effect of Belotero Lips Contour ® injections becomes maximum noticeable in a couple of days after the procedure, when redness and swelling go away. 

According to a study with the participation of 146 respondents, conducted by the manufacturer:

• 87% of those questioned 2 weeks after the injection found the result to be very good, 
• 66.7% were satisfied with the effect after 4 months.

To preserve the result as long as possible and to avoid complications on the day of the session, you should not use lip cosmetics, take alcohol or any medications that affect hematopoiesis. For several days, you should minimize touching the injected areas, avoid alcohol, too spicy, hard and salty foods. Within 2 weeks it is desirable to exclude intensive physical activity, bathing procedures. If you go outdoors in the sunny season, the areas subjected to the correction should be covered with cream or balm with UV protection.
 

Contraindications

Contour plastics are not performed in case of:

• pregnancy and breastfeeding;
• blood clotting disorders;
• epilepsy;
• diabetes mellitus;
• oncology;
• autoimmune disorders.

The procedure must be postponed if the patient is taking anticoagulants, has a cold, has skin infections (including herpes) in the area of the intended correction.
 

Storage and transportation 

Storage temperature from +2°C to +25°C. Do not freeze. Make sure that the preparation is not under the open sun or near heat sources. Shelf life - 2 years from the production date.
