Basic properties

The Saypha Volume Plus Lidocaine filler manufactured by the Austrian pharmaceutical company Croma was known to cosmetologists and their patients as Princess Volume Plus Lidocaine until 2019. The rebranding not only changed the name and packaging of the product, but also improved its viscoelastic properties. The new design of the syringe and the improved needle made the work of the master more accurate and easy, increasing the comfort and efficiency of the procedure. The main purpose of this high-density hyaluronic filler is volume correction of cheekbones, chin, and making up for the lack of soft tissues in other parts of the face.

Main characteristics of Saypha Volume Plus Lidocaine Hyaluronic filler based on hyaluronic acid with lidocaine 1 ml

Saypha Volume Plus Lidocaine is the thickest gel in the Saypha range. The intradermal filler contains:

  • hyaluronic acid (HA) at a concentration of 25 mg/ml;
  • lidocaine (0.3%)
  • phosphate buffer;
  • NaCl;
  • cross-linking agent butanediol diglycidil ether - BDDE.

Like other Saypha fillers, the filler is made using MACRO (MAtrix CROsslinking) technology, which is unique in the special way of crosslinking HA chains. This method implies:

  • the use of crosslinked and non-crosslinked HA threads, which, on the one hand, makes the gel plastic and easy to work with, and on the other hand, ensures its resistance to disintegration;
  • a high degree of purification from BDDE residues, endotoxins and proteins, so the filler is well accepted by skin tissues, does not cause allergies and complications, side effects are minimal;
  • extraction of oxygen from the final product, and thus providing additional stability by minimizing the "oxidative stress", prolonged action of the preparation.

Saypha Volume Plus Lidocaine filler can be bought in a 1 ml syringe. The kit includes 2 thin-walled 27G ½ needles. For less traumatic correction it is possible to inject the preparation with cannulas, which are purchased separately.
 

Area of application of Saypha Volume Plus Lidocaine filler based on hyaluronic acid with lidocaine 1 ml

The gel-volumetric can be used in the area of the temples, the middle third of the face and the chin, and is suitable for women and men of any age, but obligatory after 18 years of age. Indications for volumetric correction are:

  • age-related changes, the prolapse of facial tissues;
  • deep wrinkles;
  • nose hump;
  • deformation of the facial oval or a desire to emphasize the angles of the lower jaw;
  • facial asymmetry;
  • loss of volume in the cheekbones, temples and chin due to age-related changes;
  • lipoatrophy caused by HIV.

The preparation can be combined with softer fillers Saypha, hyaluronic biocorrectors of other brands.
 

Procedure protocol 

Gel injections can only be performed by a professional cosmetologist who has completed a training course on working with the Austrian preparation and received the appropriate certificate. The cosmetic procedures are carried out once, in some cases (with a very pronounced asymmetry or a significant deficit in the volume of soft tissue), after 2-4 weeks, it is possible to make an additional correction. The gel is injected subcutaneously into the deep layer of the dermis or at the level of the periosteum.

The procedure is performed on skin cleaned of make-up and impurities, additional anesthesia is required only in case of hypersensitivity to pain. After injections, a light massage is done to distribute the gel evenly under the skin. The procedure takes 30-45 minutes.

The result of application

After Saypha Volume Plus Lidocaine injections the face acquires smoother contours, the "triangle of youth" is restored in patients with pronounced signs of aging. In this case, the facial features look natural and harmonious, the naturalness of facial expressions is not affected, since the active ingredient of the filler has a homogeneous structure. The result of minimally invasive non-surgical plastic surgery lasts up to 9-12 months.

In the first days after the introduction of hyaluronic gel, redness, swelling and bruises are possible. If complications arise, the patient should contact the specialist who performed the injection. 
For a few days after the injection of the filler is to limit touching the treated areas, to refrain from the use of decorative cosmetics. For 1.5-2 weeks, alcohol, intensive exercise in the gym, visiting the solarium and bathing procedures are prohibited.
 

Contraindications

Saypha Volume Plus Lidocaine injections are contraindicated if

  • individual intolerance to the components of the preparation;
  • pregnancy and breast-feeding;
  • epilepsy;
  • diabetes at the stage of decompensation;
  • skin infections and inflammation in the area of the proposed injections.

Dense gel for volume correction is not suitable for lip augmentation and wrinkle filling. For this purpose, lighter and more plastic fillers Saypha Filler and Saypha Volume are used, which are available in versions with and without lidocaine.
 

Rules of transportation and storage

Filler should be stored in a sheltered location at 2° - 25°C. The product should not be frozen.
