The intradermal filler Volume, which is available as a transparent sterile gel, is the densest product in the Belotero line. The series also includes Soft, Balance and Intense fillers and two products for augmentation and correction of the lip shape - Lips Contour and Shape. The active ingredient is hyaluronic acid at a concentration of 26 mg/ml. The binding agent is a phosphate-buffered solution with a pH of 7.0.

The gel, like other products of the brand, is made using the patented Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM) technology. The essence of the innovation is double cross-linking of hyaluronic acid chains and additional purification of the product. The manufacturing process consists of 5 steps, while other similar products are made in 3 steps.

Procedure protocol

Injections can only be performed by a cosmetologist who has been specially trained to work with the preparation. Since the filler does not contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic gel should be used for the injected areas. The product is injected into the deep dermis, subcutaneously or into the periosteum. The procedure is performed using the needles that come with the kit or flexible cannulas. In most cases, a single treatment is sufficient.

It is forbidden to inject the gel into the periorbital area, chest area, fine wrinkles, muscle tissue.

Result of application

In addition to creating extra volume, the filler fills deep nasolabial folds and marionette wrinkles, tightens the facial oval, increases firmness and improves the overall condition of the skin, creating a non-surgical lifting effect. The result of volumization lasts from 9 to 18 months.
After volumization correction, bruising, swelling in the injection areas may remain. This reaction is considered normal for deep invasive intervention. Side effects go away in a few days, but in case of their unfavorable development it is worth seeing a doctor immediately. To prevent complications on the day of the session it is worth refraining from using make-up, coffee, alcohol, or any medicines influencing the blood circulation. It is necessary to refrain for 2 weeks from sunbathing, visiting a sauna and doing heavy physical activity.

Contraindications

The procedure is not performed if

• the patient is under 18 years of age;
• pregnancy, breast-feeding;
• epilepsy;
• blood clotting disorders;
• anticoagulants;
• skin inflammations in the area of the planned injections,
• systemic disorders of the body.

In addition, the procedure is prohibited after chemical peels and laser resurfacing.
 

Storage and transportation 

It is necessary to protect syringes with filler from direct sunlight. The best place for storage is a dark room with a temperature of 2C to 25C. The gel must not be frozen.
